Machaquito 11 Residential Town Houses
Madrid, Spain
This project, as a professional experience, is a continuation of other similar projects, requested by same client.
This is a row housing residential complex where the size of the project and the geometry of the plot made it possible to design a private inner street to access the properties and serve as a cohesive element to create a shared environment to be the backbone of the community. This made it necessary to design different types of houses because the plots have very different widths and depths.
In order to provide homogeneity to the overall composition, an architectural language has been based on prismatic volumes that are trimmed using solid and openings, with changes of brick and concrete textures. The hollows are not conceived as openings in the wall but as intersections of planes in search of geometric abstraction.
